MNPQC is currently collecting Postpartum Patient Experience Surveys on Navigating Perinatal Healthcare with Substance Use Disorder in Minnesota. We seek responses from individuals who have been pregnant in the past 5 years while using drugs or alcohol, though those who did not are also welcome. The anonymous survey takes 15-20 minutes to complete, and participants can receive a $20 gift card. Available in English, Spanish, Hmong, and Somali.

Disclaimer: This survey is part of the Mother/Infant Opioid and Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Effort (MOSTaRE) project. No personally identifiable information or personal health information will be requested to ensure anonymity for participants.

To address this, Karna’s Maternal SUD Toolkit offers healthcare professionals (HCPs) practical, evidence-informed strategies to provide compassionate, stigma-free care for pregnant patients. Karna, in collaboration with key public health partners, developed this toolkit to support HCPs in recognizing and addressing SUD with empathy and clinical effectiveness.

Perinatal Substance Use Workforce Development Project E-Modules

The Perinatal Substance Use Workforce Development Project, developed by Hennepin Healthcare, provides innovative educational activities for healthcare professionals working in perinatal health to increase knowledge of evidence-based recommendations and reduce the impact of perinatal opioid and other substance use disorders on the maternal-infant dyad. This channel offers short e-learning modules on evidence-based practices for caring for people with substance use disorders.

The mission of the Steve Rummler HOPE Network is to heighten awareness of the opioid crisis, address its impact on the physical and emotional burdens of addiction and chronic pain, and improve the associated care processes. Their programs focus on overdose prevention, education, and advocacy.
