Perinatal Resources Map
Welcome to the Minnesota Perinatal Quality Collaborative Resource Map! We are thrilled to provide a wide range of perinatal resources tailored for healthcare professionals and birthing families across Minnesota so you can find the services closest to you.
Map Designations
The map features various designations. Below, you will find an explanation of what each designation represents.
Birthing Friendly: The first-ever CMS designation to describe high-quality maternity care. To earn the designation, hospitals and health systems report their progress on CMS’s Maternal Morbidity Structural Measure to the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) Program. The measure identifies whether a hospital or health system has: (1) Participated in a statewide or national perinatal quality improvement collaborative program; and, (2) Implemented evidence-based quality interventions in hospital settings to improve maternal health.
NICU Levels of Care: Learn more about NICU levels of care definitions here.
Birth Equity Community Council (BECC) Partner: There are several levels of BECC partnership. BECC is dedicated to maximizing collective impact opportunities for individuals, communities, and people in systems. BECC partnering means that one is engaged as either a BECC Parent Ambassador, sponsor, or participant in one of our action workgroups (Celebrations, Centering Fathers, Policy, Training) to assist in moving envisioned victories forward.
