Sarah Lopez is a medical student at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine Rochester. Areas of research include standardization of peripartum care to minimize occurrence of postpartum complications as well as outcomes of postpartum pelvic floor therapy. She is the co-president of the Mayo Clinic Rochester chapter of the Latino Medical Student Association with an interest in medical Spanish. She continues to work on understanding the patient experience for those requiring interpretation services during sensitive examinations.
