Munira Maalimisaq, FNP-BC, DNP-c
Munira Maalimisaq, FNP-BC, DNP-c, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and health equity. She currently practices primary care at HealthPartners, where she is recognized for her compassionate, patient-centered care and her ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals and communities alike.
Munira is the Founder and CEO of Inspire Change Clinic, a community-driven healthcare organization. She established the Pathway to Medicine Fellowship, a groundbreaking initiative designed to reduce barriers for minority students pursuing healthcare careers and to foster inclusivity in the medical field.
Her impact extends beyond clinical care. Munira has led public health outreach in marginalized communities, addressing vaccine hesitancy, chronic disease management, and health disparities. She actively collaborates with healthcare organizations to promote equity and improve access to care.
On a global level, she serves as the U.S. Representative for the Office of the Special Envoy for Health and Nutrition for Somalia, contributing to international health initiatives. In recognition of her leadership, Munira was selected as a 2025–2026 Policy Fellow at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
