Marlys brings more than eight years of experience in healthcare leadership, with expertise in clinical operations, team development, strategic planning, and performance improvement. She has led multi-specialty ambulatory care teams and collaborated across disciplines to advance patient access, quality, workforce engagement, and operational performance.

Marlys previously served as a Practice Manager at Hennepin Healthcare, where she oversaw operations across the Richfield and St. Anthony Village clinics. She currently serves as Manager of Emergency Medicine & Critical Care Operations at Regions Hospital.

Marlys holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications from the University of Minnesota. In addition to her healthcare leadership experience, she is a Certified Birth Doula through DONA International. She has supported families through Hennepin Healthcare’s on-call doula program and through her private doula practice, bringing a unique perspective that connects healthcare operations, patient experience, and compassionate care.
