Lynette M. Renner, PhD, MSW, LICSW

Lynette M. Renner, PhD, MSW, LICSW, is a Professor and Gamble-Skogmo Land Grant Chair in Child Welfare and Youth Policy at the University of Minnesota School of Social Work. Her research centers on intimate partner violence and child maltreatment, with particular attention to behavioral, mental health, and parenting outcomes; help-seeking strategies; and healthcare, legal, and therapeutic interventions. She routinely partners with community agencies to evaluate programs and practices that reduce violence and strengthen collaborations among domestic violence, healthcare, child welfare, and civil legal service systems. Dr. Renner teaches doctoral courses on theory and model-building and research, and an undergraduate course on intimate partner violence. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Family Violence.
