Laura Palombi, PharmD, MPH, MAT is a Research Scientist III at Essentia Institute for Rural Health. She graduated with her PharmD degree from the University of Minnesota – College of Pharmacy in 2012, and later completed her PGY1 Ambulatory Care Residency with the University of Minnesota at Essentia Health, and then later completed her MPH degree in 2015, also at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Palombi’s research is embedded in the community and focuses on working with rural, Tribal, and underserved communities to reduce substance use. Her teams work across the state of Minnesota to provide individuals and communities with information on substance use prevention, treatment, recovery and risk reduction while also serving to harness the strengths of community in substance use prevention.
