Apply to Serve on the Minnesota Breastfeeding Coalition Board of Directors

The Minnesota Breastfeeding Coalition serves local and cultural breastfeeding coalitions across Minnesota, and their membership includes lactation professionals, healthcare and public health professionals, government and non-profit organizations, researchers, and others who are interested in topics related to breastfeeding and human lactation.

Members of the Board of Directors agree to serve a two-year term, attend monthly board meetings, and join at least one subcommittee. Did you know that over 75% of domestic violence survivors confide in their healthcare providers about their experiences? Join us in recognizing Health Cares About Domestic Violence Day (HCADV Day), a national day of awareness and action celebrated every year on the second Wednesday of October. Sponsored by FUTURES Without Violence, HCADV Day highlights the vital link between domestic violence and health. Let’s unite healthcare providers and advocates to support survivors and enhance prevention efforts because domestic violence is a healthcare issue.
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, a time for us to recognize and support the families who experience perinatal loss, and a time to remember the babies who are no longer here with us. During this month, we recognize the work being done by the March of Dimes to honor those who’ve experienced loss and provide resources for families facing unthinkable challenges and struggling with unimaginable loss to find hope, answers, and a sense of community.
