The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has been partnering with Proof Alliance and Wilder Research on a CDC grant-funded project to better understand the diagnostic process and care pathways for families impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs). MDH is wrapping up its quantitative and qualitative data collection for this project and hopes to convene a task force of stakeholders to inform data interpretation, identify actionable recommendations, and assist with dissemination activities.
As a key figure working to promote the health and success of children and families in your community, we invite you to join our FASD task force and/or consider sharing with your colleagues who may work with families impacted by FASDs.
The FASD task force will be convened in January through the summer of 2025, and we hope to meet up to once a month for no more than two hours. The objectives of this group will be to validate and interpret our project findings, develop recommendations, and identify appropriate channels and audiences to share them with. We also ask task force members to reach out to their connections and professional networks where appropriate to help disseminate information from this project. FASD task force members will be compensated for their time in the form of $100 gift cards for every meeting attended.
Please see the attached info sheet for additional details. If you are interested in joining, please complete our FASD task force Interest Form, and please also feel free to share this opportunity with others who may be interested. If you have additional questions, reach out to me at micah.wilkins@state.mn.us or to Ali Ruprecht at ali.ruprecht@state.mn.us.
