2025 Perinatal Improvement Summit

We are excited to announce that our Perinatal Improvement Summit will be held on October 28, 2025 at the Minneapolis Marriott West. This summit provides an “All Teach, All Learn” opportunity for education, resources, and expertise sharing with a space to make connections across disciplines, hospitals, and statewide geography as we work to improve perinatal health outcomes and experiences for our MN families.

Now Accepting Proposals

We are currently accepting proposals for one-hour breakout sessions during our 2025 Perinatal Improvement Summit. We are seeking presentations on a wide range of topics that collectively enhance perinatal health care. This is an excellent opportunity to present your insights and innovations to a diverse, multidisciplinary audience dedicated to advancing perinatal health. Submit your proposal by March 31st.

Funding Opportunities from the Medica Foundation

The Medica Foundation is now accepting applications for their early childhood health grant opportunity that supports early intervention programs for families and children, up to $100,000 over two years. Applications are due by April 4, 2025. 

The Esther Tomljanovich Strategic Initiative Grant is a single $200,000 multi-year grant awarded to pilot culturally-responsive, community-led approaches to advancing health equity. Applications are by invitation only and must be submitted by May 2, 2025. Pregnancy and Substance Use: A Survey of Real Experiences

MNPQC is currently collecting Postpartum Patient Experience Surveys on Navigating Perinatal Healthcare with Substance Use Disorder in Minnesota. We seek responses from individuals who have been pregnant in the past 5 years while using drugs or alcohol, though those who did not are also welcome. The anonymous survey takes 15-20 minutes to complete, and participants can receive a $20 gift card. Available in English, Spanish, Hmong, and Somali.

Birth Equity Community Council

The Saint Paul-Ramsey County Birth Equity Community Council (BECC) was founded in 2017 when a proposal and training program was implemented by CityMatCH and its birth equity cohort. BECC’s main mission is to look for periods of risk associated with perinatal care and inform the community on areas with the greatest opportunities of impact. BECC places a special emphasis on the integration of both qualitative and quantitative data.
