Thank You For An Amazing Year!

As we close out 2024, we’re thrilled to reflect on the progress we’ve made together. This year has been one of growth, impactful initiatives, and meaningful partnerships. Here are some highlights of what we’ve accomplished:

MOSTaRE Initiative

  • Successfully concluded the MOSTaRE initiative, tethering critical insights into patient experiences.
  • Developed the MOSTaRE survey in REDCap and translated it into Spanish, Somali, and Hmong to reach diverse communities.

Expanded Partnerships

  • Secured three new grant partnerships to further our mission and extend our reach.

Conferences & Connection

  • Hosted over 223 perinatal professionals at the 2024 Joint Perinatal Conference, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Attended over ten conferences state and nationwide!

Programs Launched

  • Kicked off several quality improvement programs including
    • EDHI Community of Learning (COL)
    • Obstwtrical Hypertension Sprint
    • East, Sleep, and COnsole (ESC) Community of Leaning (COL)
    • LINK Initiative
  • Patient Family Partner Program to enhance patient engagement and provider communication.

New Employees 

  • Welcomed two full-time employees and one part-time employee to our growing team.

New Resources

  • Launched the Resource Map, connecting families to essential perinatal resources across Minnesota.
  • Began updating our website to improve accessibility and better highlight the work we do.

Spotlight on the Hypertension Sprint: Improving Prevention & Identification

Our OB Hypertension Sprint has delivered remarkable improvements in preventing and identifying hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. A key highlight is the adoption of Blue Bands, a simple yet effective tool to improve rapid recognition of patients at risk. These visual identifiers ensure seamless communication among care teams, enhancing timely intervention. Combined with increased use of low-dose aspirin in at-risk populations, participating hospitals have implemented practical, impactful changes to advance maternal care.
