State & Local Innovative Approaches to Improving Rural Maternal & Infant Health Care

FUTURES Without Violence’s Rural Maternal and Infant Health Initiative will host a virtual event highlighting state-based, community-driven innovative strategies to improve maternal and infant health outcomes. Presenters will share ideas for supporting community health centers, doulas, community health workers and home visitors, advancing telehealth access and increasing support for families experiencing intimate partner violence. Panelists will also offer unique approaches and perspectives on the necessity of innovative, community-based models to drive change, address critical gaps in care, and support the overall well-being of mothers and babies.

This virtual event is open to health care providers and advocates interested in understanding how specific state and local programs are leveraging public -private partnerships and investing in the maternal health workforce to improve maternal and infant health outcomes.
