Session Title: Rapid Whole Genome Sequencing
Minnesota Rare Disease Advisory Council is proud to partner with Stratis Health and the Minnesota Department of Health to offer a new Project ECHO for pediatricians and family medicine providers. “Prepare for Rare: Newborn Screening and Genetic Testing” will prepare clinicians for patients with rare diseases. Diving into the process of the screenings, talking with families, connecting with specialists, and offering informed support to caregivers, this Project ECHO series will empower providers to give the best care to young patients with a positive newborn screening test. Connect with peer clinicians through what can feel like a daunting process—guiding parents of a newborn through a diagnosis for a condition they’ve likely never heard about. Learn where to find information fast, discuss complex case examples, offer valuable insights, and learn about the incredible resources available within Minnesota. Sessions are eligible for continuing education credits.
