Minnesota Alliance For Patient Safety (MAPS) Lunch & Learn

During a recent MAPS Caring Safety Tour, participants visited Northland Medical Center to see how high-reliability practices are embedded into everyday care from imaging and tiered saftey huddles to interdisciplinary bedside rounding and surgical team coordination.

This interactive Lunch & Learn will invite participants to:

  • Identify key high-reliability practices observed at Northland Medical Center, including huddles, rounding, and frontline-driven solutions.
  • Describe how consistent, everyday behaviors — such as closing the loop, simplifying reporting, and interdisciplinary collaboration — contribute to a strong safety culture.
  • Apply insights from Tour Fellow reflections to identify one or two practices that could be adapted within your own setting.
