Attend the Virtual Perinatal Psychiatry: Focus on Treatment Across Pregnancy and the Postpartum Conference! This event, hosted by the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy, will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders before, during, and after pregnancy. Specialized knowledge is necessary to tailor treatments to events such as pregnancy, pregnancy planning, and the postpartum period. Exposure to psychotropic medications and the consequences of untreated psychiatric disorders must be considered when treating pregnant women, those who may become pregnant during treatment, and those who are breastfeeding. Up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge is required to help patients and providers collaboratively make treatment decisions. Focused coursework on the understanding, assessment, and treatment of psychiatric disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
