Virtual Global Health Week is the Consortium of Universities for Global Health’s (CUGH) annual series of interactive online sessions, bringing together leading voices and thinkers to address today’s urgent global health challenges. 12+ sessions, held over three days are free, open to the public, and will inspire conversation, debate, and practical solutions for this moment in global public health.
Global health’s hardest problems will not be solved by a single university or a single discipline. Through Virtual Global Health Week, CUGH brings together leading minds across law, academia, government, technology, financing, and frontline practice to address the most urgent threats to health, human rights, and equity around the world.
Sessions will tackle AI governance in global health; lessons in pandemic preparedness from experts in the Ebola response; the future of health financing, including what countries are learning as they navigate new arrangements with the U.S. government; leadership and equity in global public health; challenges for today’s health workforce; the role of academia in shaping the future of the field; and leveraging communications strategies to translate science and research into action.
This year’s event will feature presentations from student researchers allowing emerging investigators and global health practitioners to share their findings with the event’s 1,000+ participants. Students will have an opportunity to hone their presentation skills and gain direct feedback from global health leaders from around the world.
