Lizi Seefeldt, CNM
Dr. Elizabeth Seefeldt is a Certified Nurse Midwife working in the Allina Health System. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2020 with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree in Midwifery. Lizi currently attends births at United Hospital in St. Paul and has previously worked in several free standing birth centers throughout the Twin Cities. Lizi is a fierce advocate for interprofessional collaboration, trauma-informed care and champion for perinatal health equity. She has served as the Co-President of the Minnesota Affiliate of the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM) since 2023. Lizi also works as an adjunct nursing professor at St. Catherine’s University. During Operation Metro Surge. Lizi was instrumental in creating the Minnesota Perinatal Access Team (MNPAT). At its peak, MNPAT had 200+ interdisciplinary members including midwives, physicians, APRNs, nurses, lactation consultants, doulas, and more. MNPAT’s mission is to work collaboratively across care systems and community practices to safely connect people with resources to meet their pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and newborn care needs. MNPAT created and staffed a 24/7 hotline and transportation service to connect families and birth workers to existing supports and resources including: newborn, prenatal, and postpartum supplies, car seats, and rent support, culturally congruent home and telehealth care across both large healthcare systems and community based practices, and real time hospital safety planning.
