2026 National Maternal Nutrition Intensive Course

This continuing education program, provided by the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, focuses on the improvement of maternal and infant health through the delivery of risk-appropriate high-quality nutrition services.

The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to:

  1. describe ways that nutrition programs and services can improve maternal, fetal and child health outcomes;
  2. discuss the effects of maternal and child eating behaviors and patterns on birth outcomes, infant and child health and development; and
  3. identify characteristics of effective programs, services, outreach, research and evaluation needed to improve maternal, infant and child health, nutrition and food security.
