Description: This webinar will give you a better understanding of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and Prenatal Alcohol Exposure (PAE), how they impact individuals, ways to support families, and helpful resources.

Objectives, participants will understand:

  • What FASD is.
  • The prevalence of FASD.
  • How FASD impacts brain development.
  • How to address the stigma of alcohol intake during pregnancy.
  • How to engage families in conversation to provide support.

Speaker: PROOF Alliance, a nonprofit organizations solely focused on prenatal alcohol exposure and FASD.

Audience: This is presentation was developed for the Minnesota Department of Health, Women, Infant and Children (WIC) and Family Home Visiting (FHV) program staff to support them in the work that they do with families.

Credits: A certificate of attendance will be awarded to attendees. For continuing education credits, a certificate of attendance provides documentation that you completed a professional learning event, but it does not guarantee that your credentialing board will accept it. The responsibility lies with the attendee to confirm the eligibility of the program and submit the necessary documentation to their specific board.
