Solaire Spellen, MPH is the Head of Quality Improvement & Systems Change for the Irth App at Narrative Nation, Inc. and Co-Founder of the California Coalition for Black Birth Justice. Prior to joining the Irth team, Solaire was the Executive Director for the California Preterm Birth Initiative at UCSF. Solaire has led several large initiatives focused on collective impact and birth justice research strategies grounded in health equity, antiracism, and community partnership practices. With over a decade of professional experience in Black maternal health research, community engagement, and the delivery of antiracism training for hundreds of healthcare providers and public health practitioners nationwide, Solaire works to equip organizations and leaders with the tools needed to address racism as a root cause of health disparities through sustainable, community-informed solutions.
