MNPQC’s Outstanding Community Organization Award recognizes a Minnesota-based organization or program/service that has made a significant, measurable impact on improving perinatal health within the community. These organizations play a vital role in supporting the well-being of mothers, infants, and families by providing essential services, education, and care. Their tireless efforts help ensure healthier futures for Minnesota communities.

Wilder African American Babies Coalition and Projects

Congratulations to Wilder African American Babies Coalition and Projects (AABC), the recipient of MNPQC’s 2026 Outstanding Community Organization Award. AABC truly embodies the spirit of this award through its commitment to improving perinatal health outcomes and advancing birth equity for Black, Brown, Indigenous, and underserved families.

Wilder African American Babies Coalition and Projects is a program housed within the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation that operates as a non-profit, based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Their work includes providing culturally responsive home visiting, postpartum support, doula partnerships, education, and resource navigation, while also bringing together healthcare providers, community organizations, policymakers, and other partners to address the systemic barriers that contribute to inequitable birth outcomes.
