Funmi Knutson, PhD, MPH Public Health Faculty University of St. Thomas
Dr. Funmi Knutson is an epidemiologist and public health faculty member at the University of St. Thomas. She received her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Gillings School of Global Public Health. She also has an MPH in Epidemiology with a minor in Biostatistics from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Her PhD training focused on the intersection of environmental exposures and perinatal outcomes, where she investigated racial disparities in air pollution exposure and birth defect prevalence within the state of North Carolina. Currently, Dr. Knutson’s research spans the areas of perinatal epidemiology, environmental health, and infectious diseases, with interests in addressing maternal and perinatal health disparities.
