SUMMARY:Vaccine Advocacy Training for Family Home Visitors
DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) family home visiting section is partnering with the vaccine-preventable disease section to offer confident vaccine conversations training for home visitors. This training will support individuals who already have trusted relationships with communities and focuses on navigating vaccine conversations with empathy and curiosity\, honoring individual autonomy while providing accurate and evidence-based information\, building connection and responding confidently to questions and concerns\, and promoting trusted vaccine resources that families can rely on. \nBeyond vaccines\, participants leave with communication techniques that can be applied to many challenging health discussions. By strengthening the skills of trusted professionals across Minnesota\, this training helps expand a statewide network of trusted voices who are equipped to address misinformation\, foster informed decision-making\, and support healthier communities through respectful\, relationship-centered communication. \nDate & Time: November 18\, 2026\, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm CDT \nLocation: Virtual \nThis session will not be recorded.
