Alyssa I. P. Breen, PhD, Senior Healthcare Quality Analyst, Minnesota Department of Human Service

Alyssa I. P. Breen has served for two years on the Quality Improvement team within the Healthcare Research and Quality department within the Department of Human Services for the state of Minnesota. Within that role, she oversees the nine managed care organizations’ Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) and is involved with other projects assuring that MN’s state-sponsored healthcare programs are in compliance with state and federal laws. Prior to that, she completed her PhD in Developmental Psychology at New York University, focusing on how scientists measure how caregivers help their young children initially cope with negative emotions and assuring equivalence across diverse cultural groups of mothers, and also a year of postdoctoral work at the University of Minnesota.
