Alona Jarmin, RN, BSN, MSN Stratis Health

Alona’s nursing journey began with a unique experience at the Indian Health Service, where she served the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, of which she is also a tribal member. This experience and her various roles as a quality improvement specialist and direct-patient care provider in different settings have equipped her with a deep understanding of diverse healthcare needs. She has also made significant contributions to health system improvement in rural communities. Currently, she is leading projects at Stratis Health to support Opioid Stewardship and Reduction and initiatives to improve Population Health and Health Equity. She received a John A. Hartford Foundation scholarship for the American Hospital Association’s Next Generation Leaders Fellowship and worked on implementing Age-Friendly Health Systems ‘4 M’s. Alona is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice.
